The moments leading up to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ included immense suffering. As the Messiah prepared to offer His life as a sacrifice for the sins of humanity, he endured many trials, great physical pain at the hands of his accusers, and deep emotional and relational hardship. And yet, His love for us was so great, He did it willingly. Now, we that are in Him, live free.

In preparation to celebrate the Risen Christ this Easter season, contemplating the events surrounding the days before the public mocking and execution of Jesus will bring a deep sense of reverence and gratitude to the One who paid the ultimate price for our redemption.
